Idrees Khamusi was born in Chenni,
India. And since childhood he has had a dream of having a place where
people would feel welcome, relax and enjoy good food, like at home. Idrees loves to make people feel happy
"our
food and our laughter is our medicine”.
I cooked a meal for friends after returning from a trip to India in ’99.
It was so delicious that afterwards one of my friends said “you make such
good food, why don’t you open a restaurant?” That was the beginning. We
opened in 2001 and we are having a lot of fun besides the hard work.
“I make all the meals from scratch on the premises with fresh
ingredients. I grind my own spices which add a delicious blend of flavors
to the food without being overpowering. It means I can also add spices to
suit individual taste.”
It is very satisfying when many people say how surprised they are to find
our place in the Dells.
